Client signing and negotiation

Client signing and the negotiation flow

Clients can accept your proposal online, ask questions, or leave comments, all without creating an account. You stay in control of every response.

How clients view the proposal

When you share the proposal link, your client opens a clean, professional document view. They see everything, including overview, scope, deliverables, timeline, investment, and terms, formatted as a proper proposal.

No login required. No account needed. Just a link.

How clients accept

At the bottom of the proposal, there's an acceptance section. The client enters their name and clicks Accept this proposal. Their acceptance is timestamped and logged.

When a client signs, you get an instant email notification. The proposal status updates to Accepted and the linked opportunity moves to Won.

When a client has questions

If a client isn't ready to sign, they can leave a comment instead. Below the acceptance section, there's a Questions or comments? field where they can type a message.

When they submit a comment:

  • You get an instant email with their message
  • The proposal status moves to In Review
  • The comment appears in the discussion thread on the proposal

Replying to a client comment

Open the proposal in your app. Scroll to the Discussion section at the bottom. You'll see the client's comment and a reply box.

Type your reply. Before sending, check the "Send this to the client via email" box if you want them to receive it. Some replies are internal notes, so only check the box when you want the client to see it.

When you send a reply, the proposal moves to Negotiation status and the linked opportunity stage updates to match.

Disabling the share link

If you need to pull a proposal back, whether to revise it before re-sending or because the engagement fell through, click Disable link from the proposal detail page. The share URL will no longer load for the client. You can re-enable it at any time.

Marking as accepted manually

If a client accepts verbally or via email outside the platform, you can mark the proposal as accepted manually. Click Mark as accepted from the proposal detail page and add a note about how the acceptance was confirmed.
